I had never heard of them. But anybody can make a mistake and it shows integrity to immediately remove a section with a disclaimer when prevented with contrary evidence. Not enough folks do this.

Per the excellent Reddit thread linked below, if their analysis had been more thoughtful and careful, they likely would have concluded that Waymos are as safe or moreso than NYC yellow cabs.
Would they have published that result with the same fanfare?
