How do you enforce this though? How do you prevent any citizen from using foreign services eg using a VPN?

The argument seems to be:

* Destroy the free internet in the US, ban VPNs in the US, assume enforcement of this is effective, ban frontier AI development in the US (probably needs at least one constitutional amendment)

* Assume no other countries will continue to develop AI and approach or push the frontier

* Then, the frontier ceases to move until the US companies agree to let it move again

...

I don't think anyone proposing a "pause" has studied politics or game theory even at a high school level.

Nah, it is only using 90MB of RAM in my PC.

At the same time, Gmail is using 244MB.

My average tab opened is about 30MB, so the difference is only 3 times the memory.

Probably only the network connection struggles for a few seconds in my phone, and that's it.

Sam has worn multiple hats for ages. Not all of this holdings are cross invested. (And they don’t have to be as long as everything is disclosed.)

It’s absolutely material that Sam’s statements about having no equity are, granted unsurprisingly a lie. It’s a bit more surprising to me that Graham would publicly defend Altman without disclosing this bias. And it’s actually shocking to me that Livingston, a journalist, was in on the fix.

From what I see they had 13 founding rounds, that’s quite a lot of dilution to be expected if you were early

Literally the first example on the main page declared as code.py would result in an indentation error :)

Fun fact: On the lower right corner there is the Xbox logo emitting waves to an imaginary surface below. The pattern is a watermark for the serial number of the device to be identified in case of leaked footage. Only during development of Xbox.

It can probably be decoded with some Dungeons and Dragons-level incantation of ffmpeg.

You don’t need to do anything complicated. Take a couple screenshots and crop to a slice where the rings are expanding horizontally. There is your barcode.

It just looks like a bar code that is probably easily extracted with some machine vision.
