It's not legally binding, but it is central to what the US is and has been. That's why they put the poem there, and that's why Americans welcomed the gift and erected the statue, and that's why it has been considered to be one of our most cherished symbols ever since.

Maybe. Check with a lawyer. I would for starters be looking at the angle that Congress needs to approve spending money, and I doubt this was in any budget.

There also needs to be a conversation of if the executive branch should even have the powers to stop this. A a YIMBY person I believe their power should be limited to verifying the permits were filled out correctly (and I believe in reducing paperwork for them), that is they cannot say no to this if the process was followed.


It really isn't. I stopped trying to keep it looking perfectly seasoned and it performs just as well.


That was my breakthrough with both carbon steel and cast iron. Even if the seasoning is imperfect, it'll perform just fine if you preheat it thoroughly and oil it before use.

My team has at least one person in every continent (except Africa and the Antarctic, but we do have someone on Réunion), so meetings are and will always be video conferences.


That's definitely true - ideally, there would be one day where almost everyone comes in for the all-hands meeting. Whether that is realistic depends..
